Safety Alert Services

Vehicle Recall Monitoring

We monitor safety recalls from multiple government agencies and consumer protection organizations to alert you about recalls affecting your registered vehicles and home products:

  • National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): Vehicle safety recalls
  • Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC): Home product and appliance recalls
  • Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Food and drug safety alerts
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA): Food safety recalls

We collect and store your vehicle information (VIN, make, model, year) to match against publicly available recall databases. Recall data is sourced from official government APIs and public databases. We do not share your vehicle information with these agencies—we only query their public databases to identify relevant recalls.

Weather Alert System

We provide severe weather alerts using data from the National Weather Service (NWS):

  • Location Matching: We use your home ZIP code to match your location with NWS weather alerts. Alerts are triggered when hazardous weather conditions are detected within approximately 50 miles of your location.
  • Alert Types: We monitor severe weather events including tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flash floods, winter storms, hurricanes, extreme heat, and other hazardous conditions.
  • Data Source: All weather data comes from official NWS alerts and APIs. We do not share your location data with NWS—we only query their public alert feeds.
  • Alert Preferences: You can customize your alert sensitivity and types of weather events you want to be notified about through your account settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

Stripe: All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy can be found at stripe.com/privacy.

Video Content

YouTube: We embed YouTube videos for instructional content. When you view these videos, YouTube may collect information about your viewing activity. YouTube's privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.

This includes transactional emails (account notifications, password resets), service emails (maintenance reminders, safety alerts, weather alerts), and marketing communications (with your consent). Resend's privacy policy can be found at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Marketing emails are separate from essential service communications (account notifications, maintenance reminders, safety alerts, weather alerts). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email without affecting essential service communications.
